Noble Peace (colored pencil/crayon, 23

I created this piece in recognition of the effort and sacrifice of the two personalities (Nelson Mandela and Yasser Arafat) towards the territorial sovereignty of their countries. Regardless of the different approaches used by these two personalities, nationals across the world like them because they are struggling for their identity. The message in this piece is political and an appeal to global peace. Let us put all our differences behind and look to the future by appreciating the advantages of the diversities we have socially, politically and economically.

Kiwanuka cares deeply about his fellow artists in the Life in Africa community, which is why he is auctioning this piece to raise funds for improving the galleries where their works are shown. Please bid generously to support Kiwanuka and the Life in Africa community!
Crazy for PeaceTiles
WE Center Kampala Manager: Kiwanuka Mulindwa

In 2005, Kiwanuka helped to spearhead LiA's peacetiles activities from Gulu to Darfur, which were later featured in the Kenya Airways inflight magazine.
I can’t quite explain how I got myself at Life in Africa, but what I can remember is that one day as I moved along Wamala road where the WE Center is situated, I was curious to know what was inside this enclosed place with a gate full of good art.
